Know who is on the place, and what came off it.
HuntCaptain runs the hunting side of a property — the groups, the leased pastures, who checked in at the gate this morning, and the harvest record that has to still make sense five seasons from now.
What it does today
Everything listed here is built and running.
Groups and leases
Set up a hunting group, give it the pastures it leases, and close the term when it changes hands. Past seasons keep the pastures they actually had.
Check in at the gate
A hunter says they are here and which pastures they are hunting. One line at the top of the screen says whether they are checked in and for how long.
The harvest record
Every animal taken, by season, with the hunter, the pasture, the date and a photo. Filter by species, hunter or group.
Buck Catalog
Build a catalogue of the bucks on your place from trail photos — name them, classify them shoot or don't shoot, and record an age estimate against the evidence.
Bring your seasons with you
Import past harvests from a spreadsheet — bucks, does, hogs, birds — matched to hunters by name, licence or phone.
Requirements before the season
Hold hunters to what your place requires — an agreement signed, a licence on file — before they can check in.
Presence is a safety fact
When people are carrying rifles, where somebody is matters more than any report.
Pastures next to the name
Who is here, and which pastures they are in, read as one thing. Not a name in one column and a location five columns away.
Reachable
Call or message a hunter from the same card that says where they are.
Works past the gate
Check-in is recorded on the device and syncs later, so a hunter with no bars is still checked in.
One property, more than one kind of work
HuntCaptain is the hunting door. The same property, crew and permissions carry across.
